Andrex is a clone of the old Daleks Game.Thiswas a simple logic game based on the Tv show Dr Who, andhisenemies, the Daleks. The first time I saw Daleks Game was on anoldMac computer - back when they were like a 10 inch screen, andblackand white only. Sometime after that, I either had or wroteasimilar game for the Atari ST.The idea is to make the Andrex run into each other, causingthemto die. Fortunately, they are not very smart. You can move inthe 8cardinal directions, or you can stay put each turn. You have aPogoTeleporter that you can use as often as you like, if you havethenerve - the Pogo Teleporter can put you anywhere. Also, you haveanIon Shiv, which will kill any andrex in the immediate vicinity.Youcan only use this once per level. Once you are in a safe place,youcan make your Last Stand, which will run the level to the endwithno more input required from you. You score one point foreachandrex killed.When it is your turn, the screen is overlaid with yourcontrols.The top 3x3 area contains the 8 directional arrows whichare selfexplanatory. The middle button makes you stay where you areforthis turn. The lower 3 buttons, from left to right, are:PogoTeleporter, Last Stand, and Ion Shiv. The teleporter will moveyouto a random screen location, but may put you in severe danger.TheIon Shiv will kill any andrex in the immediate 8squaressurrounding you. Last Stand runs the level with no moreinput fromyou, either until you dies or all the andrex aredead.If you choose to, you can register to compare your scoreswithothers around the world.
